Cities and the invasion of the autonomous vehicle

The autonomous vehicle is shortly set to burst into the streets of our cities and into our lives. Its qualities will ensure that it spreads rapidly and massively, like the smartphone

before it. In fact, it will come to heel at the simple blow on the whistle, carry us to our

destination while we enjoy our favourite activities, and will go and park or perform other tasks

that we cannot even manage today, without the need for us to do anything about it at all. The

ancient link between the words “travel” and “travail” will be severed.
