Launching of the research hub!
We are glad to launch the first phase of the mobile hyperplaces’ research hub, based on a network of local partners – universities, research labs, design offices, companies, and territorial authorities – as well as IVM’s networks around the world. Its aim is to observe, from an international and interdisciplinary perspective, activities conducted on the move (work, services, shops, leisure, health, community…), whether in emerging trends, in makeshift forms for the poorest populations, or in high-end manifestations. This observation is expected to produce deliverables that can be disseminated and demonstrated, in the form of photo reportages, videos, sound recordings, computer graphics, guided tours, exhibitions, publications…
Among the first international academic teams:
École Africaine des Métiers de l'Architecture et de l'Urbanisme, École d'architecture de la ville & des territoires à Marne-la-Vallée (Université Paris-Est), École nationale supérieure d'architecture Paris-Malaquais, Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Institut de recherche pour le développement, Laboratoire de Sociologie économique et d'Anthropologie des Appartenances Symboliques (Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny), Instituto de Estudios Urbanos (Universidad Nacional de Colombia), La Vie Robomobile, Tongji University, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de los Andes, Universidade de São Paulo, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro…
